Lewis Cosmano, a board-certified psychoanalyst, is a graduate fellow of the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health in New York City. He is a licensed clinical social worker in practice both in New Jersey and New York, and is presently a Board Certified Diplomate (BCD) and a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers (ACSW). Mr. Cosmano has had extensive experience in forensic and psychiatric social work and is currently counseling special education students of minority background in the Harlem section of New York City. Because of his diverse psychoanalytic and social work background with adults, adolescents, and children, he is an expert in his therapeutic approach, focusing on the individual gaining insight while experiencing empathetic support. Such an approach facilitates change with increased self-awareness and self-esteem. Mr. Cosmano is a strategist in industrial human resource planning, with experience in business seminars, critical-incident-stress-debriefing, "layoff-trauma", and helping unexpected personal loss and sexual harassment.
